Accountant

KBR is seeking a Payroll Accountant to support payroll accounting activities for their Mission Technology Solutions organization. This role involves general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and ensuring compliance. The position is based in Houston, TX or Huntsville, AL and offers an opportunity to contribute during a significant company transformation.

• Maintain payroll general ledger accounts and ensure accurate recording of transactions
• Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations of payroll accounts
• Support payroll month-end and year-end close activities
• Assist with payroll tax reconciliations and regulatory reporting
• Partner with Payroll, HR, and Finance teams on compensation and benefits accounting
