Senior Financial Accountant

The Washington Post is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Financial Accounting and Reporting team. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting strategic decision-making. You will execute general ledger functions, conduct variance analyses, interpret GAAP standards, and contribute to process improvements and automation.

• Execute general ledger accounting functions
• Conduct detailed variance analyses
• Interpret and apply GAAP accounting standards
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
• Prepare documentation for financial statements, tax, and audit requirements
