Lead Specialist, Tax Accounting & Reporting

Guardian is seeking a motivated Lead Specialist, Tax Accounting & Reporting with 7-10 years of experience to own complex state and local tax matters. This role focuses on insurance premium tax, sales and use tax, and process improvement, while also driving the adoption of AI and automation within the tax function. You will research tax issues, support financial close, and partner with technology teams to enhance efficiency and business insights.

• Ownership of insurance premium tax and sales and use tax compliance
• State and local tax research, planning, and risk mitigation
• Drive automation and AI adoption in tax processes
• Support financial close and tax-related reporting
• 7-10 years of relevant state and local tax experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting required
