Senior Accountant, General Ledger and Tax Accounting

Valmet is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team in Chennai. This role focuses on record-to-report processes, ensuring accurate financial accounting, timely financial close, and high-quality reporting. You will manage journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting, collaborating with global stakeholders to drive compliance and process improvements.

• Perform and review journal entries, accruals, and provisions
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage fixed asset accounting
• Collaborate with global stakeholders on intercompany reconciliations and audits
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements
