Accountant / Settlements Analyst, Commercial Accounting & Settlements

Join Talen Energy's Commercial Accounting and Settlements team as an Accountant/Settlements Analyst. You will be responsible for key accounting close activities, settlement processes, financial reporting, and analytical support for our commercial and energy marketing operations. This role offers broad exposure to energy markets and cross-functional collaboration, with opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.

• Own monthly accounting close for wholesale power, natural gas, and fuel transactions
• Perform settlement activities and resolve billing discrepancies
• Prepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations and cash forecasts
• Assist with regulatory reporting, including FERC EQR filings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
• Identify and implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls
