Cost Accountant

Charter Manufacturing seeks a Cost Accountant to serve as a subject matter expert in cost and inventory accounting. This hybrid role involves leading month-end close activities, performing advanced cost and margin analysis, and partnering cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency and financial performance. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 4-6 years of cost accounting experience, and proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.

• Lead monthly cost accounting close, including cost roll-ups and reconciliations
• Analyze manufacturing variances and prepare cost performance reports
• Support standard cost setting and periodic updates
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to interpret cost results
• Provide financial input for capital investments, production efficiency, and pricing decisions
• Lead initiatives to automate and improve cost reporting
