Accountant

MPC is seeking an Accountant to support MPLX Logistics and Storage accounting operations in Findlay, Ohio. This role involves recording costs and revenue, preparing financial statements, maintaining accounting records for SEC and FERC reporting, and serving as a subject matter expert for sales type leases. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and support audits.

• Support MPLX L&S revenue accounting process
• Create and record journal entries and maintain general ledger
• Serve as subject matter expert for sales type leases
• Review new agreements with operations and Technical Accounting
• Provide BP&A with data and insight for variance explanations
• Prepare key information for financial reporting disclosures
