Accountant

Rubicon is seeking an Accountant for its Polyurethanes Division in Geismar, Louisiana. This role supports core accounting functions including financial reporting, cost accounting, and indirect cost analysis in a chemical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to identifying cost drivers and improving financial efficiency.

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Support the month-end close process
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
