Accountant - Corporate Accounting

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is seeking an Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting and Compliance team. This hybrid role involves supporting daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of operational tasks, and researching proper accounting treatments. You will contribute to general accounting, reconciliation, journal entries, and compliance functions.

• Perform general accounting activities including ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc journal entries
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Federal Reserve policies, and best practices
• Assist with SOX/COSO compliance functions
• Partner with other departments to ensure accurate and timely completion of shared transactions
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience required
