Staff Accountant

Nexstar is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Corporate Accounting Department. This role will focus on monthly close processes, including network affiliation relationships, equity investments, debt transactions, lease accounting, intangible assets, and pension obligations. You will also assist in preparing GAAP financial statements and audit schedules.

• Assist with monthly accounting and reconciliations for network affiliation relationships
• Account for equity investments and debt transactions
• Process leases under FASB ASC 842
• Track intangible assets and pension obligations
• Assist in preparation of GAAP financial statements and audit schedules
• Variance analysis on key expense accounts
