Financial Controller

The Washington Post is seeking a Financial Controller to lead and transform its global accounting operations. This role is critical for ensuring financial integrity, transparency, and sustainability, requiring a strategic leader who can modernize processes, systems, and team capabilities. You will balance hands-on execution with enterprise leadership, shaping the future of accounting within a dynamic media organization.

• Lead global accounting operations, including close, consolidation, and statutory reporting
• Assess, redesign, and modernize accounting processes, operating models, and organizational structure
• Own the evaluation, selection, and migration of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Maintain accountability for accuracy and timeliness of all internal and external financial reporting
• Develop and enforce global accounting policies and standards
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing global accounting organization
