About the Role: Job Summary Performs aesthetic services. Minimum Job Qualifications • Licensure or other certifications: Current GA Esthetician license. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire. • Educational Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Must have completed the requirements of an Aesthetics program and received a diploma or a graduate of an accredited school. • Minimum Experience: • Other: Preferred Job Qualifications • Preferred Licensure or other certifications: • Preferred Educational Requirements: • Preferred Experience: • Other: Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. • Must have the mathematical skills needed to calculate medication doses. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities • Interviews patients to see the need for aesthetic services. Measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, height and weight and records information in patients' chart. • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Serves as a patient chaperone per policy. • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician/provider of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. • Operates computer to process, store, and retrieve health information. Maintains accurate, complete, and timely patient records. • Inventories medical supplies and materials. Will notify designated personnel of supply needs. • Responsible for handling questions and requests from patients regarding their medical care in a timely manner: Promptly receives and responds to incoming phone calls/voicemail/emails. Answers questions and requests regarding follow-up care, prescriptions, laboratory results, etc. • Makes decisions for further evaluation of follow-up as needed. Schedules work-in appointments if indicated. • Provide patient education verbally or in the form of pamphlets/handouts. • Maintains knowledge of and complies with established policies and procedures. • Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality. • May be required to travel to satellite locations. • Performs other duties as requested.
