Financial Counselor

As a Financial Counselor at MUSC, you will evaluate patient visits to identify and resolve funding or coverage issues. This involves assisting patients with applications for Medicaid, disability, financial assistance, or insurance, and informing them of payment responsibilities before services are rendered.

• Evaluate patient visits to identify and resolve funding/coverage
• Assist patients with applications for Medicaid, disability, financial assistance, or insurance
• Provide patients with copayment, deductible, and deposit information
• Collect payments prior to services rendered
• Process Financial Assistance Program applications
• Maintain patient data and ensure compliance with regulations
