JIB Accountant

Chord Energy is seeking a Joint Interest Billing (JIB) Accountant to join their Accounting Department in Houston, TX. This role supports the JIB/AR group and involves monthly joint interest billing, processing rebills, applying cash, resolving owner inquiries, and preparing journal entries and reconciliations. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, strong analytical and Excel skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Assist with monthly joint interest billing process
• Process monthly rebills
• Apply cash for accounts receivable payments
• Resolve owner inquiries
• Prepare and record journal entries related to JIB accounts
• Prepare account reconciliations and maintain SOX compliance
