Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

The AES Corporation, a global power company, is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Financial Reporting team. This role supports the preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, assists with public filings, and identifies impacts of new accounting standards. You will also contribute to process improvements and system optimizations.

• Assist in preparation of financial statements per U.S. GAAP and SEC rules
• Coordinate and prepare SEC filings (10-K/10-Q) and disclosures
• Identify and communicate impacts of new accounting pronouncements
• Implement process improvements and system reporting upgrades
• Partner with stakeholders across global business units
• Requires 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably Big 4 or public/private mix
