Accountant, Cost Accounting

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team in Trinity, NC. You will be responsible for performing month-end close activities, costing inventory, and supporting standard cost calculations. This role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with various business partners to ensure accurate financial reporting and process improvements.

• Perform month-end close tasks and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee and review journal entries from plant finance teams
• Perform costing of inventory items and support standard cost calculations
• Analyze inventory costs to identify errors and root causes
• Collaborate with business partners to drive process improvement
• Ensure accounting work follows GAAP and supports SOX/SEC compliance
