Accountant

Jefferson County seeks an Accountant to analyze and prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping in accordance with GAAP for local governments. This hybrid role involves both remote and in-office work, operating on a four-day work week with potential for Monday-Friday flexibility.

• Analyze and prepare financial reports and records
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank statements
• Review general ledger account activity for accuracy
• Provide fiscal information and advice to stakeholders
• Perform accounting functions in Workday
• Assist with year-end close-out tasks
