Area Accountant (AZ-Remote)

Republic Services is seeking an Area Accountant to perform accounting activities, record, analyze, and monitor financial information. This role involves preparing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, and acting as a resource for accounting staff. The position requires a strong understanding of GAAP and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries
• Prepare monthly and quarterly operational performance reports
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze financial statements
• Assist with annual budget and interim forecasting processes
• Support accounting aspects of capital expenditures
• Assist with periodic financial audits
