Senior Financial Accountant

The City of Tucson's Business Services Department is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to perform city-wide accounting and reporting duties for various funds. This role involves ensuring accounting integrity, preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and leading daily operational work for accounting personnel. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of directly related experience.

• Prepare, analyze, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure integrity of accounting information through review and reconciliation
• Record, verify, consolidate, and enter transactions
• Assist in preparing and compiling audit documents
• Provide guidance on technical accounting issues
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
