Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their New Payment Platform team in Pune, India. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and operational excellence of applications for a global client base, guiding the team in production engineering, incident response, and proactive service improvement. The position requires experience with ITIL, vendor management, and stakeholder communication, with a strong emphasis on shifting left to enhance customer experience and manage risk.

• Ensure availability, observability, capacity planning, and performance management
• Drive reliability-focused engineering practices and operational standards
• Partner with developers to design, build, and support technology services
• Manage production incidents, identify root causes, and perform remediation
• Mentor junior resources and share knowledge on applications and best practices
• Liaise with development and testing teams for upcoming deployments
