Staff, Site Reliability Engineer

Join Walmart's Cloud Powered Checkout team as a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain the next generation of our global, omnichannel checkout solution. You will ensure the highest levels of availability and reliability for mission-critical systems by proactively managing infrastructure, cloud platforms, and microservices. This role involves incident response, performance optimization, and developing innovative tooling to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

• Triage, escalate, and resolve site-impacting production issues to minimize Mean Time to Restore (MTTR)
• Design and implement alerting solutions using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk
• Enhance site reliability through performance tuning, disaster recovery planning, and chaos engineering
• Develop automation tools and processes using Java, JavaScript, Python, and Shell scripting
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to build highly observable and resilient systems
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to root cause analysis for production incidents
