Principal Engineer, Cloud

CarMax is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable cloud infrastructure. This role involves leading efforts in automation, reliability, and security to enhance customer-facing applications and optimize operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor others while staying ahead of industry trends.

• Design and implement self-service capabilities and automation tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovative solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams
• Consult on cloud platform evolution and performance optimization
• Apply best practices to enhance cloud reliability, scalability, and security
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP considered)
