Director, Platform Engineering

Mastercard is seeking a Director, Platform Engineering to drive innovation in our global infrastructure and platform automation strategy. This hands-on role involves designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to enhance reliability, consistency, and velocity across hybrid cloud environments. You will engineer reusable automation patterns and enable self-service infrastructure delivery, playing a key part in advancing our technology and operations.

• Design and build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or Chef
• Develop reusable automation modules and libraries for standardized infrastructure deployment
• Engineer and enhance platform services including CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, and configuration management
• Implement automated testing, validation, and security scanning for IaC components
• Collaborate with cloud, network, security, and SRE teams to define automation standards
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD issues across hybrid environments
