About this role

As a Site Reliability Engineer in our Command Center, you will be the technical authority during critical incidents, directing application and infrastructure teams. You'll make high-stakes decisions under pressure, leveraging your knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and CI/CD to ensure the reliability and availability of PayPal's global platforms.

What we are looking for

Act as incident commander with final decision authority
Direct engineering teams during critical incidents
Rapidly assess incidents using IaC, Kubernetes, and CI/CD configurations
Authorize critical actions like rollbacks and regional failovers
Safeguard reliability, resiliency, and availability of financial platforms
Drive tooling and processes to strengthen incident response
