About this role

Kemper is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise DevOps and platform engineering capabilities across on-premise and AWS cloud environments. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our development, testing, and release processes through automation and robust platform engineering.

What we are looking for

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise DevOps and platform engineering capabilities
Automate CI/CD processes, infrastructure provisioning, and release workflows
Support and administer key DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and AWS services
Troubleshoot and improve the health, availability, and performance of engineering platforms
Partner with application, cloud, and security teams to enhance developer experience
Experience with AWS, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and containerization (Kubernetes/EKS)
