System Engineer

Abbott is seeking a System Engineer for their Molecular Division in Des Plaines, IL. This role focuses on refurbishing high-cost parts for on-market instruments, supporting improvements, and executing test protocols. You will ensure projects meet goals, provide guidance on reliability issues, and contribute to system design trade-offs within a quality system environment.

• Refurbishment of high-cost parts to drive savings
• Establish processes and procedures for refurbishment activities
• Collect, analyze, and verify data to drive project decisions
• Participate in reliability improvement activities with internal teams and vendors
• Contribute to system level design trade-off discussions
• Adhere to the AMD Quality Process for Design Changes and Improvements
