Lead Engineer – Platform AI – Cloud and Compute (full stack)

Target is seeking a Lead Engineer to join their Cloud & Compute organization, specifically the Platform AI team. This role involves technical leadership and product mindset to build foundational AI-powered platforms that simplify infrastructure management for engineers. You will design and develop end-to-end solutions, including user interfaces, backend services, and AI systems, to enhance developer experience and operational transparency.

• Serve as technical anchor for the engineering team supporting a product
• Own and be responsible for application architecture
• Drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve quality of service
• Build and operate foundational platforms powering Target's experiences
• Create product experiences and platform capabilities using AI and agentic systems
• Collaborate with product, design, platform engineering, security, and reliability partners
