About this role
ERCOT is seeking a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer to apply software engineering principles to enhance the reliability, scalability, and self-healing capabilities of production systems. This role involves owning SLOs, architecting observability, leading incident response, and ensuring NERC/CIP compliance, while partnering with software engineers to influence architecture and production readiness standards.
What we are looking for
6- Design and build production software systems, reliability tooling, and automation frameworks
- Own SLO governance, error budget management, and observability architecture
- Lead engineering-driven incident response and NERC/CIP compliance
- Partner with development teams on design reviews and production readiness
- Automate manual processes and instrument systems for better telemetry
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
