Staff Engineer Systems

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to join their Propulsion Systems and Controls team. You will provide technical leadership and own the system technical baseline for propulsion hardware development, supporting programs from preliminary design through final testing. This role involves extensive collaboration with engineering disciplines, program management, and customers like the Navy and Air Force.

• Provide technical leadership and coordination across engineering disciplines, program management, and stakeholders
• Own the system technical baseline, ensuring alignment across requirements, architecture, interfaces, verification, and program execution
• Produce and maintain key systems engineering artifacts in a model-based systems engineering environment
• Define and plan testing activities in conjunction with propulsion engineering
• Lead requirements and architecture reviews (PDR, CDR-level artifacts)
• Provide mentorship in Systems Engineering initiatives to other SEs and Propulsion Engineers

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Requires a Secret security clearance.
