Staff Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering

General Motors is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the reliability, observability, and scalability of our data platforms, which are central to our next-generation Software-Defined Vehicle. This senior technical leadership role involves system design, production operations, incident response, and automation to ensure our data infrastructure powers safety, personalization, and operational decision-making.

• Lead design and implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure for vehicle data
• Drive production readiness and establish reliability standards across teams
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for safe, repeatable, and fast releases
• Partner to define and implement SLOs, observability, and operational best practices
• Automate operational tasks and lead incident response
• Influence technical direction and mentor engineers
