Senior Systems Engineer

General Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide application operations support for production-critical applications in manufacturing environments. This hybrid role, based in Austin, TX or Warren, MI, focuses on ensuring application availability, performance, and reliability using Site Reliability Engineering practices. You will collaborate with various teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and support deployments across Linux, Windows, Kubernetes, and database environments.

• Support applications in vehicle assembly and propulsion manufacturing
• Monitor application and infrastructure health, availability, and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues within service levels
• Design and implement configuration changes
• Perform root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
