About this role

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Cloud FinOps Engineer to manage and optimize our AWS cloud spending. You will partner with engineering, finance, and business teams to implement cost-saving strategies, develop financial reports, and automate cost governance. This role is crucial for maximizing the value of our cloud investments while supporting innovation and operational excellence.

What we are looking for

Implement and mature FinOps practices across AWS environments
Analyze AWS spending trends and provide cost reduction recommendations
Develop cloud cost reporting, dashboards, and forecasts
Manage and optimize AWS cost management tools (Cost Explorer, CUR, Savings Plans, RIs)
Build automated solutions for cost monitoring, anomaly detection, and governance
Partner with teams to align cloud spending with business objectives
