Senior Systems Engineer I

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer I to design, develop, and test space-based electro-optical sensors for defense and intelligence customers. This role involves defining system requirements, developing electrical architectures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of complex space missions.

• Support development of system architecture for space-based optical instruments
• Define, decompose, and manage system requirements with focus on electrical behavior
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture descriptions and interface control documents
• Collaborate with hardware, software, firmware, and test teams
• Support development, integration, and testing of space payloads
• Participate in hardware and software verification and validation activities

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
