Mental Health Technician

Meharry is seeking a Mental Health Technician for their Elam Center on Main Campus. This full-time, onsite role involves supporting the clinical service plan for clients, including group therapy assistance, client supervision, and transportation for therapeutic activities. The position requires a high school diploma, one year of healthcare experience or relevant college coursework, and a valid Tennessee For-Hire driver's endorsement.

• Assist with supervised group therapy, recreational, and occupational therapy sessions
• Supervise and monitor clients, escorting them to appointments and activities
• Orient new clients to program rules and procedures
• Maintain client confidentiality and intervene in rule violations
• Attend client care conferences and staff meetings
• Document client condition reports, incidents, and observations
