Payload Systems Engineer - Experienced or Lead

Boeing Defense Space & Security is seeking an experienced or lead Payload Systems Engineer for their Experimental Systems Group in Seal Beach, CA. This role involves serving as the technical owner for assigned products, focusing on system integration, supplier management, and cross-organizational interfaces for experimental and operational space systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment, iterating quickly on solutions to meet customer needs.

• Serve as technical project manager for subcontracted development and sustainment efforts
• Manage technical project scope, planning, proposals, cost estimates, and schedules
• Identify, track, and update key subsystem technical performance metrics
• Coordinate with SMEs and external stakeholders for on-orbit systems support
• Act as decision maker for technical trades, design decisions, and failure resolution
• Develop and present review packages to senior leadership
