Cloud Engineer

Join Cisco's Collaboration Business Unit as a Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and automate large-scale distributed systems like Cassandra, Kafka, and OpenSearch. You will work with a global team to ensure the reliability and performance of backend services powering Webex and the hybrid workforce, leveraging technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

• Architect and deploy large-scale solutions for Cassandra, Kafka, and OpenSearch
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes
• Lead capacity planning and performance tuning for high-throughput systems
• Manage automated workflows for backups, security patching, and incident management
• Consult with application teams on data access patterns and cloud migration
• 8+ years of experience with distributed databases and 5+ years managing AWS infrastructure
