About this role

NextGen is seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Reliability Engineer to ensure the operational excellence and reliability of their cloud-based services. This role involves driving critical reliability initiatives, establishing observability and service health practices, and leading incident response to improve service availability and resilience. You will partner with engineering, security, and operations teams to advance reliability practices, mature service-level objectives, and develop automation to reduce toil and accelerate incident recovery.

What we are looking for

Own service reliability and operational health, establishing SLOs/SLIs and monitoring strategies
Lead incident response coordination, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Design and implement reliability-focused automation and operational tooling
Build observability solutions through comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting
Conduct performance and capacity analysis, providing recommendations for scaling and optimization
Partner with development teams to ensure deployment readiness and implement operational best practices
