Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Penn Mutual is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead the evolution of reliability practices across critical financial systems. This hands-on technical leadership role involves designing and implementing reliability strategies through automation, observability, and architectural guidance, while actively participating in development, release, and incident response. You will tackle complex, ambiguous problems and influence system design to ensure reliable and measurable delivery of change.

• Lead reliability, availability, scalability, and recovery design for critical systems
• Define and evolve SLOs, SLIs, and error budget practices
• Act as a technical lead during major incidents and drive root cause analysis
• Design and implement automation to eliminate operational toil
• Influence application and platform architecture for improved operational outcomes
• Mentor junior engineers and influence reliability culture across teams
