Lead, Platform Engineer (Network Site Reliability Engineering)

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to enhance the reliability, scalability, and security of global network services. This role blends deep networking expertise with software engineering, automation, and AI-assisted operations to prevent incidents and accelerate safe changes. You will act as a force multiplier, transforming operational knowledge into code and driving best practices across SRE, Network Engineering, and Operations.

• Lead network reliability engineering, identifying systemic risks and improving resilience
• Design and deliver network automation using Python, APIs, and IaC
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for network changes with automated testing
• Apply AI-assisted operations for anomaly detection, incident correlation, and remediation
• Advance network observability through metrics, logs, traces, and synthetic tests
• Mentor engineers in network reliability, automation, and AI best practices
