About this role
SMX is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to support a government client in Huntsville, AL. This role involves establishing and managing cloud-based technologies within a hybrid government environment, focusing on security, performance, and scalability. You will assist in defining cloud strategies, engineering solutions, and developing automation capabilities using DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code tools.
What we are looking for
6- Support government cloud strategy using DoD approved providers
- Engineer solutions for customer business drivers and requirements
- Develop and utilize automation capabilities (scripts, applications)
- Utilize DevSecOps and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Produce clear and concise technical documentation
- Experience with AWS or Azure and Kubernetes/Docker fundamentals
