About this role

Micron is seeking a Principal Systems Performance Engineer to build forward-looking models that guide the company's SSD strategy. This role involves using real workload data and deep system knowledge to simulate tradeoffs in large-scale cloud environments and influence product direction. You will analyze AI infrastructure components and present insights to senior leadership.

What we are looking for

Design and evolve data center-scale logical models for SSD product scenarios
Integrate workload data, telemetry, and benchmarks into performance, power, and cost models
Model hyperscaler tradeoffs across compute, memory, storage, and interconnect
Analyze AI infrastructure components including GPUs, DDR5, HBM, CXL, and NVMe
Communicate complex technical insights to executive stakeholders
10+ years of experience in hyperscale data centers or large cloud environments
