Director of Engineering - Platform

Motive is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their Core Infrastructure and Operations team, focusing on SRE, Data & AI Platform, and Database Engineering. This role involves owning the cloud platform, driving reliability for mission-critical systems, and managing a multi-functional team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud platforms and systems architecture, with a strong ability to lead and scale engineering efforts.

• Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team responsible for core platform systems
• Define and drive multi-quarter platform initiatives to improve developer velocity and system reliability
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to evolve the platform as a product
• Own cloud platform and drive enterprise-grade reliability for mission-critical systems
• Manage and mentor a multi-functional team across SRE, Operations, Data & AI Platform, and Database Engineering
• 10+ years of experience as an engineering leader with deep expertise in running cloud platforms at scale
