About this role

OnBoard is seeking a senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their remote US-based cloud operations team. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, observability, and security of their SaaS platform, with a strong emphasis on owning and migrating the Datadog observability practice. The position is engineering-focused, requiring automation to eliminate manual operational tasks and participation in on-call rotations.

What we are looking for

Own Datadog observability practice including instrumentation, dashboards, SLOs, and alerting
Lead migration from legacy monitoring stack to Datadog
Develop automation in Python, PowerShell, and Bash for provisioning and remediation
Manage infrastructure-as-code with Bicep/Terraform and Kubernetes
Implement platform security controls and maintain operational documentation
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
