Founding DevOps Engineer

As the founding DevOps engineer at an early-stage AI assistant company, you will build and own the operational platform, enabling a small engineering team to ship quickly while ensuring production systems are reliable and secure. This role involves establishing robust CI/CD pipelines, implementing comprehensive observability and security controls, and managing infrastructure costs and capacity for future growth.

• Own cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, and compute using infrastructure as code
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with fast builds, gated tests, and rapid rollbacks
• Design and operate logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting systems
• Establish on-call rotations, lead incident response, and conduct postmortems
• Implement security controls for secrets, access permissions, and privacy requirements
• Track infrastructure costs and capacity, plan for growth, and reduce waste
