Chip Lead, Senior Director

Astera Labs is seeking an executive technical leader to drive the end-to-end success of next-generation UALink switching products. This role involves connecting architecture, design, validation, firmware, systems, and operations to ensure clarity, alignment, and predictable execution across the full product lifecycle. You will lead through influence and cross-functional authority, working on cutting-edge technologies that power large AI clusters.

• Own the full technical lifecycle of the product line from architecture to customer enablement
• Drive chip development execution from RTL to GDSII, meeting tapeout milestones
• Lead development of large-scale chips using advanced packaging and chiplet architectures
• Anticipate challenges and drive alignment across all engineering functions
• Establish scalable processes and foster a culture of ownership and collaboration
• Provide executive technical leadership for UALink, UCIe, and PCIe Gen6/Gen7 technologies
