About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Platform Reliability Engineer to join their CTO Platform organization. This role focuses on applying SRE practices to enhance the availability, resiliency, and operational excellence of critical enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in a core platform discipline and experience collaborating across multiple infrastructure domains to investigate and resolve systemic issues.

What we are looking for

Serve as reliability engineering expert for primary domain (Network, Middleware, Database, or Storage)
Lead investigation and resolution of complex production incidents
Apply SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
Perform deep performance analysis and identify bottlenecks
Drive proactive reliability improvements through observability and automation
Mentor engineers on reliability engineering and platform best practices
