About this role

Nine is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to manage and evolve our observability platform, primarily using the open-source Grafana stack. You will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions for our Kubernetes-based applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact Australia's largest media company by ensuring the reliability and performance of our critical systems.

What we are looking for

Architect, implement, and manage Grafana observability stack (Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir) on Kubernetes
Implement OpenTelemetry instrumentation and manage collector services
Ensure comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing coverage for microservices
Develop actionable dashboards, alerts, and automated incident response workflows
Automate observability infrastructure using Terraform and Helm
Integrate observability tooling across hybrid and cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
