Server Engineer

Design, implement, and manage the City of Charlotte's private cloud infrastructure and Windows Server environment. This senior engineering role focuses on VMware vSphere, Active Directory, enterprise storage, and disaster recovery to ensure high availability and security for critical systems. You will also be involved in infrastructure automation, lifecycle management, and providing technical leadership.

• Design, implement, and administer private cloud infrastructure
• Manage VMware vSphere and Windows Server environments
• Administer Active Directory, enterprise storage, and disaster recovery solutions
• Provide technical leadership and automation for compute platforms
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents
• Evaluate emerging technologies and develop infrastructure roadmaps
