Senior Systems Engineer

The Washington Post is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to ensure the security, reliability, and availability of its identity, collaboration, endpoint, and IT service platforms. This role focuses on Identity and Access Management, supporting systems like Active Directory and Okta, and involves hands-on engineering, integration, and automation to improve technology services. You will collaborate with various teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, acting as an individual contributor providing technical guidance.

• Administer and improve Identity and Access Management services (Active Directory, Okta, SSO, MFA)
• Design and implement automated user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows
• Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise systems (Workday, Okta, Google Workspace)
• Engineer and support enterprise platforms including Google Workspace and endpoint management tools
• Automate recurring administrative and operational processes using scripting and APIs
• Troubleshoot complex incidents involving identity, access, and systems administration
