About this role

Expedia is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operational excellence of their cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities. This hands-on role focuses on building a scalable, reliable, and secure runtime platform using technologies like Kubernetes and AWS, aiming to increase developer velocity and optimize cloud spend.

What we are looking for

Define technical strategy and roadmap for cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities
Lead migration and adoption efforts for containerization and Kubernetes
Contribute code and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm)
Design scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure patterns
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and release automation
Drive SRE and observability practices, including SLIs/SLOs and incident response
